DUFFY SETS HAIR ON FIRE

DUFFY has revealed she accidentally set fire to her hair while backstage at a COLDPLAY gig.

The Mercy star recently supported the band in the US, but she almost went up in flames after bending over a candle which she thought was unlit.

"The entire left side of my hair went up in flames. At that moment, Chris was walking down the corridor to say, 'Hi'," she said.

"I hadn't met him before and the place stank of burning hair."

The Welsh soul singer - who was about to take to the stage ahead of COLDPLAY in Ohio - said she saw her life "flash before her eyes".

Elsewhere, the 24-year-old singer claimed her increasing fame is winning her many male admirers, but adds that she struggles to find time for them all.

"It's all based on a little bit of text banter. My phone bill was a whopper last month," she said.

Her latest single, Rain On Your Parade, is scheduled for release on November 17th.
