DR WHO FOURTH SERIES ACTORS REVEALED, TAIT AT DOCTOR'S SIDE

Actors with guest appearances in the fourth series of Doctor Who have been revealed today, including Coronation Street actress Sarah Lancashire.

The former Clocking Off star appears as businesswoman Miss Foster in the first episode of the new series, which is due to hit screens on Saturday April 5th at 18:20 BST on BBC1.

For this series the Doctor's sidekick is the comedienne Catherine Tait, returning as Donna after her successful guest appearance in the 2006 Christmas special.

The first episode sees Donna determined to find the Doctor again, even if it means facing Miss Foster and her sinister Adipose.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to be in Doctor Who," said Lancashire.

"It's a brilliant episode and I'm looking forward to taking the Time Lord on."

Freema Agyeman, who played Martha Jones, the Doctor's companion throughout the third series, will return to the show to join the Doctor and Donna mid-series.

Other guest stars include Felicity Kendal, Lesley Sharp, Georgia Moffett, Lindsey Coulson, Fenella Woolgar, Tim McInnerny, Peter Capaldi, Phil Davis and Tracey Childs.
