DOURDAN REBOUNDS FROM DRUG ARREST WITH BATMAN FILM
Shamed former CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION star GARY DOURDAN has been thrown a career lifeline by BATMAN.
The actor, who lost his role on the hit drama following an arrest for cocaine and ecstasy possession in April (08), has landed a voiceover part in the new animated Batman film Batman: Gotham Knight.
Dourdan, who played Warrick Brown on the original CSI, has voiced tough guy Gotham City detective Crispus Allen for the upcoming straight-to-DVD film, which hits stores in July (08).
The animated movie, released to coincide with the new big screen Batman blockbuster The Dark Knight, also features the voices of Kevin Conroy, David MCCallum and E.R. regular Parminder Nagra.
Dourdan tells BlackFilm.com, "I always wanted to do more animation voiceover stuff, so the opportunity came along and I jumped on it. Plus, it's a Batman project so how could I say no."
