DOUBLE GRILLING FOR EVICTEES

This year, evicted 'Big Brother' housemates face being interviewed by Davina McCall and two special guests.

'Big Brother' evictees will face being grilled by a panel about their experiences in the house.

While the Friday night show - which will see either Sophia or Freddie leaving the house tonight (12.06.09) - will still be hosted by presenter Davina McCall, she will be joined by two special guests each week.

Davina confirmed the news on her Twitter page, writing: "No bus tonight but great new interview format, so it should be good!!"

The first guest will be a journalist, celebrity, fan or ex-housemate with a vested interest in getting to the bottom of what has happened on the show.

The second will be a 'Big Brother' expert, who will chat to the evictee about how they were perceived on the show.

The visiting interviewer will change each week, in an effort to spice up the live show.

It has also been claimed producers decided to alter the format following increased dissatisfaction with Davina's interview style, after many fans criticised her, saying she gives evictees an easy ride.

Davina has even admitted she shies away from asking tough questions, explaining: "People usually think I'm being too soft. Friends of mine will often have a go at me about that, and I love that, because it makes me realise how much they care about the programme.

"I can't just roast them. It's not like going on 'Newsnight' where you expect Jeremy Paxman to roast you because that's what he does."
