DOORS SHUT ON MANZAREK/KRIEGER CASE
Rockers RAY MANZAREK and ROBBY KRIEGER have lost their appeal to tour as the DOORS OF THE 21ST CENTURY.
The Doors founders hit the road under the moniker in 2001, but were forced to drop the name after former bandmate John Densmore and late singer Jim Morrison's estate won a court injunction in 2005.
Densmore insisted no Doors reunion should be able to use the band's name - because Morrison would not be a part of the get together.
Manzarek and Krieger took the case to California's highest state court, but judges have agreed to uphold the decision by the Los Angeles Superior Court.
As a result, the Doors founders will have to continue performing as Riders on The Storm.
Densmore says, "A five-year cloud has passed over my head."

I think it a petty low blow for Densmor to attack his fellow bandmates in such a
manner. Why is he not a part of the new band?It would have made a world of difference
against the estate. In spirit Jims probably enjoying the guys doing the ol tunes.
