DOMINGO TO GO BARITONE IN BOCCANEGRA
Acclaimed tenor PLACIDO DOMINGO is set to realise his last ambition by making the jump to baritone to sing the title role in VERDI opera SIMON BOCCANEGRA.
The 66-year-old will debut the role at Berlin's Staatsoper Unter den Linden in 2009.
He will then perform the part at Milan's Teatro alla Scala and at The Royal Opera in London.
Domingo was one of the acclaimed THREE TENORS alongside LUCIANO PAVAROTTI and JOSE CARRERAS.
