DOHERTY'S NO-SHOW AT GATECRASHER FESTIVAL
Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY disappointed fans at a British music festival this weekend (27May07) when he failed to turn up for his scheduled slot as a guest DJ.
The Babyshambles frontman had to be replaced at the last minute by fellow rocker Samuel Preston of The Ordinary Boys, who took over the stage at Gatecrasher's Summer Sound System event in Leeds, England on Sunday.
Fans had paid GBP40 ($80) each to attend the festival, and some were said to feel "conned" out of their money after Doherty skipped the event.

Peter was NOT booked to DJ at Gatecrasher festival. Only Adam (Babyshambles'
drummer) was booked. Did he DJ? I don't know. But this was clearly a case of
the festival promoters using Peter's name to get more people to come. It's a
shame the general public will most likely never hear this and keep blaming
Peter for not coming.
