DOHERTY USED BLOOD PAINTING TO SETTLE CAB BILL

Rocker PETE DOHERTY has sold his "best painting" to the owner of his local taxi firm - to pay off outstanding debts of $3,330 (GBP1,800).
The Babyshambles singer created the artwork with his own blood after a row with his managers shortly before he was due to play at legendary British music festival Glastonbury this summer (08).
The results of his creativity stunned even the rocker himself - but he had to hand it over as settlement for his huge cab bill.
He says, "I did it the day I thought I wasn't going to be playing Glastonbury... I'd just fallen out with my managers, so I decided to stay home and paint instead...
"It's probably the best painting I've done but I gave it to the boss of my local taxi firm because I'd run up a GBP1,800 bill."
