DOHERTY DUE IN COURT - AGAIN

Pete Doherty has added another charge to his ever lengthening rap sheet after the Babyshambles singer was told he would face magistrates on driving offences.

The 27-year-old has been charged with failing to produce driving documents, driving without insurance and driving without proper registration.

He will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on February 13th following an incident last November.

He was stopped by police in London as he drove his Jaguar, with officers reporting Doherty was driving erratically.

Two men accompanying Doherty in the car were charged with drug possession, but the singer will only face motoring-related charges.

Doherty has rarely been out of the headlines or the courtroom since he emerged with the band The Libertines, with a string of drugs offences and high-profile incidents dogging his career.

Having been kicked out of that group – and stealing from fellow band members – he fronted Babyshambles, although his output has been hampered by his drug addictions.

Last week the singer was caught on film injecting cocaine during a break in Thailand around new year, causing more friction with his on-off flame Kate Moss.

The supermodel is said to have told Doherty she needed space after the incident, with the footage reportedly taken just days after the couple took part in a Buddhist-style ceremony designed to stress their commitment to one another.
