DOHERTY BLASTS DIRTY PRETTY THINGS

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has mocked his former music partner CARL BARAT's new band DIRTY PRETTY THINGS, insisting his career has stalled since THE LIBERTINES split up. Doherty was kicked out of The Libertines in 2004 because of his drug addictions - and has since formed a new band BABYSHAMBLES, but he says Barat's career has nosedived without him. He fumes, "I paid the price. I got kicked out of the band. And with nothing, no sweat from anyone, we got it together with Babyshambles. We really got it. All he's got is the fact that he was in the best band and now he's in the worst band. And he needs to sort that out."

ha ha, fair play, thats not far from the truth at all, babyshambles have managed a wicked album plus some amazing E.P's, they make it look easy. Carl is still hanging onto past times that arent there anymore, dont get me wrong DPT are amazing although they are still basking in the glory of The libertines. I hope DPT do pull it together as there is potential there, just not the songwriting ability of pete doherty. peace and much luff. x

Bitter, delusional ravings from a once great songwriter who can't cope with seeing his former friend succeed and get more critical acclaim than his "band" of sychophants and vampires.
