DMX MISSES OUT ON SIXTH TOP SPOT

Rapper DMX's US album chart-topping winning streak has ended - but it took a number of pop stars to bring him down. The gruff rap star, real name EARL SIMMONS, debuted YEAR OF THE DOG at number two in the new Billboard chart - behind hits compilation NOW! THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC 22. It's the first time a DMX album hasn't gone straight to the top - all five of the rapper's previous album releases have entered the chart at number one. This week marks the third time the Now! compilation has hit the top, selling 127,000 copies last week. DMX was just 1,500 sales short of a sixth number one - Year of The Dog opened with 125,500 copies sold. He is sandwiched between two hits compilations - reworked versions of pop hits by the likes of DANIEL POWTER and RIHANNA on the KIDZ BOP 10 album debut just behind the rap star at number three. Meanwhile, rockers STONE SOUR debuted at four with COME WHAT (EVER) MAY and FIVE FOR FIGHTING's TWO LIGHTS enter at eight.
