DJS DRAMA AND CANNON RELEASED ON BAIL

LATEST: Mixtape king DJ DRAMA and his business partner DJ DON CANNON have been released from jail after being arrested by police on racketeering charges in an operation targetting bootlegged music. The pair spent Tuesday (16JAN07) night in Fulton County Jail, Georgia, before being released on $100,000 (GBP51,300) bail yesterday (17JAN07). The DJs are due in court on 24 January, reports website AllHipHop.com. Cops stormed the pair's Aphilliate Music Group premises in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday, reportedly seizing 50,000 CDs and hauling another 17 employees into custody. Drama - real name TYREE SIMMONS - has worked with hip-hop stars T.I., YOUNG JEEZY, STYLES P, LIL JON, BUSTA RHYMES, LIL WAYNE and NELLY in recent years.
