DIVORCE ON HOLD FOR HOUSTON

WHITNEY HOUSTON's divorce has been put on hold because her estranged husband BOBBY BROWN has fallen out with his lawyer. Brown’s attorney has quit after a series of rows with the fallen R+B star, according to U.S. reports, and now a scheduled 4 January (08) hearing looks like it will have to be delayed. That date was arrived at after Brown suffered an alleged mild heart attack in October (07) and was unable to attend his wife's deposition. In new court papers, obtained by U.S. TV show Extra, officials note, "The relationship (between Brown and his lawyers) has deteriorated to the extent that effective communication is no longer feasible."
