DITTO: 'DRUG ADDICTS ARE MORE ACCEPTED THAN FAT PEOPLE'

GOSSIP frontwoman BETH DITTO has slammed the public's attitude towards fat people, insisting they are more accepting of badly behaved individuals than those who are overweight. The rotund singer finds it hard to understand why weight issues attract more criticism than those surrounding drug use. She says, "I'm five foot two and I think I'm 15 stone. I am pretty happy. I think what makes me unhappy is how unhappy people are with me. "If you're not big, you can't possibly understand. You can be dead, you can be a drug addict as long as you're not fat - I think that's so absurd."
