DITTO BRANDS MUSIC PRESS SEXIST

GOSSIP singer BETH DITTO has slammed the lack of press coverage given to female musicians. The outspoken lesbian has rubbished claims that today's ladies are considered equal to male performers and blames music magazines for failing to recognise their talents. She says, "If it was getting easier for women, wouldn't CSS and LONG BLONDES have been playing the NME Awards? Wouldn't they have been on the cover by now? "We've been in this band for eight years and been coming over here for seven to get where we are." The STANDING IN THE WAY OF CONTROL singer blasted the massive column inches devoted to celebrities like NICOLE RICHIE. She complains, "How many times has Nicole Richie been on the cover of a magazine?"
