DISABLED SISTER SPARKED FAME STRUGGLES FOR PEARCE

GUY PEARCE struggles with fame and fortune because he can't help feeling guilty about his disabled sister. The Aussie actor has only started getting to grips with his emotions towards his Down Syndrome sibling after spending his childhood feeling insignificant. He explains, "I have a sister with an intellectual disability, and (in) this book a psychologist friend gave to me... the author came to the conclusion that other siblings of people with special needs... feel left out. "A certain amount of attention does go to the child with special needs. It was something I had no idea of. "I have a lot of guilt about my sister, and getting attention, or any kind of fame. Why should I have stuff when she can't?"
