DIRTY DANCING REMAKE ON THE WAY
Movie bosses are bringing DIRTY DANCING back to the big screen - a remake of the 1987 classic is in the pipeline.
The film - starred Patrick Swayze as a dance instructor - took a massive $213 million (£133 million) at the worldwide box office and propelled the actor to international superstardom.
A sequel, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, starring Diego Luna, was released in 2004 and a theatre production has been wowing audiences on Broadway and in London's West End.
And now film executives are keen to cash in on the continuing popularity of the movie, with a new version of the original picture.
Bosses at Lionsgate productions are currently developing a script with Uptown Girls writer Julia Dahl, according to Production Weekly.
