DIDDY SLAMS CASSIE 'DROPPED' RUMOURS
Hip-hop mogul SEAN COMBS has slammed reports he has dropped his protegee CASSIE from his record label.
Combs signed the Connecticut beauty to Bad Boy Records in 2005 and her debut single Me + U reached number three in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts last year (06).
Reports emerged earlier this month (Jun07) suggesting Cassie had been 'let go' from the label after her debut album sold 300,000 copies.
However, Combs tells MTV, "Cassie's definitely not dropped from Bad Boy.
"She's in the studio (working on her next album). So many people are excited to be working with her. She was just in the studio with Kanye West. She's going to be doing some stuff with Pharrell (Williams).
"People really understand that she does have some talent and it takes some time to mould it. Everybody's not perfect. I think she had some rough shows, just being nervous. Sometimes people have to break out of that.
"But she's out of that now. She went over to Europe with me and killed the MTV Europe Music Awards. She has her swagger on."
