DID CLOONEY FALL ILL IN AFRICA?

GEORGE CLOONEY is rumoured to have cut short a charity trip to Africa because of illness. The actor has been visiting the troubled Darfur region of the Sudan, his first posting as a United Nations Messenger of Peace. But sources claim he returned to the U.S. early on Tuesday (22Jan08) after becoming sick. His spokesperson refused to confirm or deny the reports, telling the New York Daily News, "There's a lot of inaccurate information out there." More than 200,000 people have been killed and more than two million turned into refugees by famine and war, since civil war broke out in the Sudan in 2003.
