DIANA PICS PHOTOGRAPHER CLEARED

British press photographer JASON FRASER has been cleared of breaching the privacy of PRINCESS DIANA and DODI FAYED, nearly ten years after the offending pictures were taken. Yesterday (13OCT06), a criminal court in Paris dropped the charges against Fraser, which were initiated by Dodi's father MOHAMED AL FAYED. Fraser revealed the couple's relationship to the world in 1997, and was criticised for invading the couple's privacy when he snapped them on board a yacht on the Italian Riviera, shortly before their 31 August (97) deaths in the Pont d'Alma tunnel in Paris. Fraser said, "Only Mr Fayed will know why he decided to spend such a great deal of time and money on throwing so much dirt."
