DIANA LETTERS SELL AT AUCTION

Letters and cards PRINCESS DIANA wrote to her former nanny have sold at auction in London for more than $50,000 (GBP27,000).
The candid correspondence, in which the late royal opens up about her pregnancy with Prince William, her dancing skills and her engagement to Prince Charles, were sold off at the Reeman Dansie auction house on Tuesday (30Sep08).
One letter Diana wrote to Mary Clarke when she was just 17 - about the failed courtship between her older sister and future husband, Charles, went under the hammer for $22,997 (GBP12,431).
