DIANA CONCERT LOSES TOP ACTS TO LIVE EARTH
Organisers of the memorial concert for DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES are struggling to secure high profile artists for the event after losing superstars MADONNA and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS to this year's (07) Live Earth charity concert.
The sons of the late princess, Prince William and Prince Harry, are reportedly pressuring concert bosses to re-think the current line-up, which includes 1980s stars Jason Donovan and Donny Osmond, and book trendier and more current acts.
A source tells the News of the World: "There is very little appeal to young people. With the exception of Elton (John), the acts aren't nearly as strong as Live Earth.
"Live Earth knocks it for six with virtually every cutting edge, big-selling band in the world."
Sir Elton John, Duran Duran, James Morrison, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Rod Stewart and Keane are among the line-up for the London gig on 1 July (07) - what would have been Diana's 46th birthday.
