DIAMOND SCRAPS SHOWS DUE TO THROAT INFECTION

Crooner NEIL DIAMOND has been forced to cancel a string of shows after coming down with a severe throat infection.
The singer is currently touring the U.S. promoting his latest hit LP Home Before Dark, but has had to postpone two shows after catching laryngitis.
Diamond has cancelled his shows in Green Bay, Wisconsin and St Louis, Missouri on 27 August (08) and 29 August (08) respectively until he has fully recovered.
The Sweet Caroline star upset fans after delivering a below-par performance in Columbus, Ohio on Monday night (25Aug08) because of his croaky voice.
Some fans were so disgruntled by the gig, they have demanded refunds. Diamond has promised to make up for the lacklustre performance, saying, "Please give me a few days to figure out a way to make it up to you."
