DERN TRAUMATISED BY FATHER'S MOVIE DECAPITATION

JURASSIC PARK star LAURA DERN was left traumatised as a child when she watched her father Bruce Dern's head roll out of a hat box in a movie. The actress was just five when she caught sight of her father's decapitated head in the movie Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte. She recalls, "I remember watching television with my mom and she was flipping the channels and there was this image of Bette Davis holding a hat box at the top of the stairs... and out rolled my father's head. "It was traumatic. I was quickly put on the phone with my father, so he could tell me that... things were good."
