DEPRESSED COLLETTE SHAVED HEAD TO AVOID WORK
Australian actress TONI COLLETTE was once so disillusioned with acting, she shaved off her hair in a desperate bid to make casting directors back off. The SIXTH SENSE star sank into depression after filming 1994 movie MURIEL'S WEDDING, which involved her having to put on weight for the role, only to have to lose it again to attract further work. But the drastic changes to her body left her suffering from bulimia, panic attacks and eventually a nervous breakdown - and she ditched her locks in an attempt to avoid the limelight. She says, "When Muriel's Wedding was released I was 22, and for the next six years I was going crazy. "I thought I was dying."
