DEPECHE MODE SCRAPPED GLASTONBURY APPEARANCE

Electro rockers DEPECHE MODE pulled out of an appearance at legendary British music festival Glastonbury - because they disapproved of the other acts on the bill.
The band was happy to perform at the upcoming 2009 event this summer, but changed their minds when they found out the list of other artists who would be appearing at the event.
And founding member Andy 'Fletch' Fletcher admits the line-up of stars including Blur, Bruce Springsteen and Lily Allen just didn't appeal to them.
He says, "We do a lot of festivals in Europe, but not so many in the U.K. Glasto would be fun but the line-up didn't quite work for us. Getting the right bill is important."
