DENEUVE BOOED AT ITALIAN FESTIVAL

Legendary French actress CATHERINE DENEUVE failed to thrill fans during a performance in Italy - the local crowd turned on her for reading her lines in French.
The Oscar-nominated star took to the stage at Tuscany's La Versiliana cultural festival to recite lines from George Perec's book Je Me Souviens (I remember).
Although she was accompanied by veteran Italian actor Michele Placido, who read lines in his native tongue, revellers furiously turned on Deneuve when she spoke in French.
The 200-strong crowd booed and shouted at the pair, with some chanting, "Thieves, we want our money back," according to local media.
Following the furore, Deneuve refused to comment on the crowd's anger but Placido admitted it may have been a mistake for the star to speak French.
He added, "These things happen."
Organisers of the festival promised fans they would receive free tickets to another show at the event.
