DEGENERES: 'I DON'T NEED TO BE ON CAMERA'

Comedian ELLEN DEGENERES is ready to settle for the quiet life with partner PORTIA DE ROSSI - the pair is looking to buy a farm. DeGeneres is under contract to her U.S. talk show through 2010 and insists she does not want out of the programme.
But since marrying de Rossi in August (08), the 51-year-old admits she's considered stepping away from the bright lights.
DeGeneres tells Ladies Home Journal, "I don't need to be on camera. I'm not a workaholic. I love to spend time with my wife, my family, my animals... (We're) looking for the right place to have a farm. Someplace like Massachusetts or Nantucket, with seasons."
