DE BURGH TO BREAK IRAN'S WESTERN POP BAN

LADY IN RED singer CHRIS DE BURGH is to headline Iran's first western pop concert in 30 years, backed by a band of local musicians.
De Burgh will take the stage with Iranian act Arian in Tehran in November (08).
More than 12,000 fans are expected to fill Azadi Indoor Stadium for the show.
De Burgh, who is one of the country's biggest international stars, visited Iran in May (08) to help promote the gig.
Western pop songs with lyrics were banned by Iran's authorities after a revolution in 1979.
