DAVID PINES FOR LISA
David has confessed his remaining time on 'Big Brother' will be tough without Lisa - who was evicted last night (01.09.09)- and said he doesn't think he will win the show.
David said his remaining time on 'Big Brother' will be tough without Lisa.
The housemates were left shell-shocked by yesterday's (01.09.09) eviction, with the camp clothes sorter particularly upset about the departure of his friend three days before the show's finale.
He said in the Diary Room: "I am going to miss her. She's been my rock in the House.
"But she's a very strong person and she can take whatever's thrown at her so that's keeping me going as well."
When asked by Big Brother why he and Lisa had bonded so well, he said: "Her wittiness, quirkiness and she's someone who understands me. She cared enough to listen to me, so it's going to be sad when she's not there."
Despite his sadness, David - who celebrates his 29th birthday today - admitted he was happy to still be on the show, but is doubtful about his chances of winning.
He added: "It's been a very emotional night for me. Obviously I found out I'm in the final on Friday, but when I found out Lisa was going I was very sad as well. So, mixed emotions. I'm just amazed I'm still here.
"I don't think I'll win, not in a million years. I know I've got the chance, but I don't think I'd win. It would mean the world to me, but I'm not going to sit here and say I'm confident because I'm not."
In the immediate aftermath of Lisa's departure, all five of the remaining housemates were visibly upset and struggled to speak - until David changed the subject.
He moaned: "My belly's properly rumbling," prompting the others to agree and go off in search of food.
