DAVID BECKHAM UNSELFISH FOR SONS

David Beckham says having children made him less selfish, because he realised he had to put his three sons first.

David Beckham says becoming a father made him less selfish.

The soccer star - who has three sons, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz with wife Victoria - admits he was self-obsessed before the birth of Brooklyn in March 1999 but now his children come before anything.

He said: "I was selfish before - everyone is. Until you have children you don't realise how much it changes your life and how they become your main priority in terms of making sure they are OK, making sure they are happy. Me and Victoria are busy in our jobs and what we do as individuals. But there is nothing that compares to being a father. They are the most special boys in our lives and we would do anything for them."

David, 34, recently revealed he is desperate for a daughter as he dreams of having a sister for his three boys.

He said: "I really want more kids and I hope it happens soon. I want a little girl. That would be amazing."
