DANIEL BALDWIN WELCOMES BABY GIRL

Actor DANIEL BALDWIN is celebrating after his wife JOANNE SMITH-BALDWIN gave birth to a daughter on Thursday (17Jan08). The Mulholland Falls star and his model-turned-chef spouse welcomed Avis Ann Baldwin into the world at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 12.59am. Avis weighed in at seven pounds and 10 ounces (3.46 kilograms). The actor, a recovering drug addict, met Brit Smith-Baldwin when she cooked his meals during his stint in rehab last year (07). In a press statement, he jokes, "Thank God, she looks like her mother." The baby is Baldwin's fourth child and Smith-Baldwin's first.
