DANGERMOUSE OWNS UP TO PARIS PRANK

LATEST: GNARLS BARKLEY producer DANGERMOUSE has confirmed rumours he was responsible for the CD prank on PARIS HILTON's new album, insisting he was merely "improving on perfection". The dance impresario teamed up with British guerrilla graffiti artist BANKSY to doctor 500 copies of PARIS, before smuggling them in to HMV music stores around Britain. The pair, who have both worked with GORILLAZ, replaced Hilton's sugary pop with new beats, while the album artwork has been altered so that Hilton's face is replaced by her dog, and also appears topless. The track listing reads as a series of inane questions, including, "Why am I famous?" and "What am I for?" Danger Mouse's management released the following statement: "It's hard to improve on perfection, but we had to try." The CDs, meanwhile, have become collector's items - attracting bids of up to GBP46 ($85) on Internet auction site eBay.
