DANCING ON ICE STAR SAMANTHA MUMBA SLAMS JUDGE JASON

Samantha Mumba has called Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner "vile" following her exit from the ITV1 show.

The Irish singer found herself in the bottom two on Sunday night after the judges and viewers alike were unimpressed with her performance.

And after the judges voted to save javelin thrower Steve Backley rather than than Samantha, she became the third contestant to be voted off the ice skating programme.

Judge Jason had reserved some harsh words for the Body II Body star during the series, calling her a "gangly stick insect" and labelling her performances "a big disappointment".

But Samantha hit back at Jason while appearing on ITV1's This Morning, explaining to presenters Fern Britton and Philip Schofield that his "character on the show is fantastic, it needs it and it makes it wonderful".

She added: "I think his thing is backstage. Even from the first show, backstage you would smile at him and you would get nothing back.

"And it's like, 'Ok', which is fine but then today coming into my dressing room and saying 'How are you?' it's like 'He talks? To us?' It's just weird."

When Jason responded that he needed to keep his distance as a judge, Samantha retorted: "None of the other judges do, they are all very lovely".

"I find him vile but at the same time, also, with a bottle of wine I know we would have a ball," she added.

When Jason replied: "Well, I don't drink so it won't happen", Samantha shot back: "You need to, maybe that's the problem."
