Hollywood actor MATT DAMON has no problem with accepting roles other stars have turned down, because it's the only way to get ahead in Hollywood.
The 36-year-old has learned to put a bruised ego aside and insists that making it onto a list of potential stars is an achievement in itself.
The BOURNE SUPREMACY actor says, "That's the way it works. Every script has someone else's fingerprints on it.
"For years TOM CRUISE fingerprints were on every script. I was probably just somewhere down the line.
"But to me, you want to just be on that list. And try to stay on that list. And not be comparing yourself to other people on that list.

I am so glad to hear that as an actor, Matt has a wonderfully clear vision of
who he really is!! We all love Matt dearly here in Virginia. We consider him
the intelligent, strong, silent type. He lights up our world with that
contagiously beautiful smile of his! There is nothing wrong with being second
best. I find that it seems to be more real than being number one. In fact, I
find that "being on the top" spoils everything. Matt makes us feel safe and
secure. Because of his level head, you know you can trust his judgement. He
seems to be in a special class that only a few have succeeded in achieving. He
is the type of person that could step into the presidents shoes have the
complete confidence and backing of the nation. We love Matt just the way he
is. Please don't spoil this for us!! I find that people doing "good things"
are very exciting. Thanks for entertaining us Matt and keep up the good
work!!!
