DAMON GETS MORE ACTION WITH BOURNE ROLE
Movie studio bosses have signed a deal to revive MATT DAMON's amnesiac assassin character in a new series of hit action flick THE BOURNE IDENTITY.
The estate of late author Robert Ludlum has given exclusive rights to Universal Pictures for Damon's character, Jason Bourne.
The three series saga has grossed more than $1 billion (GBP667.3 million) worldwide.
Ludlam Entertainment chairman-CEO Jeffrey Weiner tells Daily Variety, "Universal has done such an excellent job with the first three films that they deserve the opportunity to keep Jason Bourne at the studio forever."
Damon and director Paul Greengrass have already been signed to a fourth film, scheduled for theatre release in 2010.
