DAMON CHASTISES JOURNALISTS FOR LAZINESS IN DEATH REPORT

Movie star MATT DAMON used his Toronto Film Festival press conference to blast journalists for spreading a "silly" story suggesting he had died.
The Bourne Supremacy star was appalled by reports suggesting he had plunged to his death during a mountain hike in California on Thursday (10Sep09) - and even more stunned when reputable news groups called his publicist for a comment.
Damon fears journalists failed to read the Internet story properly - because if they had they would have realised it was a prank.
And he took issue with the media at the start of his Toronto Film Festival rounds in Canada, where he's promoting new movie The Informant.
He raged, "My publicist got all of these phone calls from very reputable sources. I got forwarded the story, which, if you read it, it just gets sillier and sillier, and, by the end, the guy who's said to be my agent is quoting the lyrics to the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
"And yet CNN called and The Boston Globe called, all of these reputable news sources are checking if it's true.
"My publicist's like, 'Did you even read the story?' Misinformation is quicker because you motherf**kers (journalists) are lazy! That's how these things spread like wildfire."
