DAMMERS: 'SPECIALS REUNION WILL BE SHORTLIVED'

Ska icon JERRY DAMMERS fears the new SPECIALS reunion won't last long - because key members won't be able to resolve their differences during a summer (09) tour of "inappropriate venues".
The former band leader has stepped back from the comeback because he was never officially invited to be part of the reunion, and he fears his former bandmates are not ready to hit the road 25 years after they split.
He tells Britain's Mojo magazine, "It seems to me what they're doing is reliving the break-up of the original Specials all over again, they're playing inappropriate small venues, they're in danger of running the whole thing into the ground again.
"The real test will come if they try to make another album."
