DALTREY TO HONOUR DETROIT
THE WHO will honour the city that launched their career by donating the profits from a concert to local charities, according to frontman ROGER DALTREY.
Daltrey, along with Pete Townshend will perform in Detroit in October (08), where their group performed their first U.S. concert more than 40 years ago.
And the musician has vowed to honour the occasion by donating the profits from the show to Detroit-based charities.
He says, "The first ever gig we played in the U.S. was in Detroit and we've always had an affinity with this part of the country. Pete and I are aware of the problems people are having and feel we should give something back for all the support we've had over the past 40 years.
