DALLAS FILM BACK ON?
The movie adaptation of cult TV soap DALLAS is back on, a month after the project's star LUKE WILSON announced the venture was all but dead.
A series of reported behind the scenes bust-ups and casting issues, which led to JENNIFER LOPEZ quitting the film, threatened the film production.
But John Travolta, who will play roguish J.R. Ewing in the film, refuses to let the project die.
He says, "I'm meeting with a director I won't name and I think they (producers) want to start in the New Year."
A month ago (May07), Wilson, who is slated to play Ewing's brother Bobby in the film, said, "I think it was the big budget and the cast that complicated matters. It just got too complicated. If they could get it up and running again, great, but it seems to have run its course for the moment."
