DALAI LAMA VISITS IRWIN ZOO
Buddhist spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has visited the zoo of late Crocodile Hunter STEVE IRWIN - and has praised the family for their dedication to the natural world.
The holy man addressed a crowd at the Queensland, Australia, venue's 'Crocoseum', where he spoke for 30 minutes on vegetarianism, negative attitudes towards animal rights and the work of the Irwin family since Steve's untimely death last year (06).
After petting koalas and a python during his visit, the Dalai Lama was joined on stage by Steve's widow Terri, and kids Bindi and Bob, at the end of his speech.
Irwin was killed last September (06) after suffering a fatal injury from a stingray's barb.
