DADDY YANKEE TO TAKE UP ACTING
Reggaeton superstar DADDY YANKEE is set to make his acting debut in new U.S. TV series CANE.
The series, which debuted last month (Sept07) and stars Jimmy Smits, is about a family caught up in the sugar cane business.
Yankee makes a cameo appearance visiting a nightclub owned by one of the show's main characters. He also performs his song Who's Your Daddy on the episode.
He says, "It's been an honour to take part in a show alongside fellow 'boricua,' Jimmy Smits, who has helped make a name for our culture.
"Whenever they want to have me back, I'll return immediately. It's a show with high production value."

Daddy Yankee you set your mind on something and you get it done i admire you
for that, i know you will do good on your acting career but don't lose the
reggaeton music. I wish you the best and you are always in my thoughts and
prayers hope we can meet some day i dought it but it keeps me going, from one
boricua to another keep it real love you..

I know Daddy Yankee can do anything he sets his mind on i've always been proud
of my ppl. and my culture it's been a long time coming for puerto rican ppl to
get it together and make a mark in this country. I love who i am and my
culture,i wish the very best for all of us Latinos. I admire you Daddy Yankee.
