CURRINGTON BLASTS BAD DAD IN NEW SONG

Country star BILLY CURRINGTON has penned a vicious new tune about his alcoholic stepdad after realising how his childhood was tainted by the bully in therapy. The Whole Lot More hitmaker thought his past was behind him until a severe bout of laryngitis almost ended his musical career - and forced him to seek counselling for demons that were making him ill. Currington, who duetted with Shania Twain on her hit Party For Two, tells People magazine he lived with Larry Currington for the first seven years of his life and suffered regular alcohol-fuelled beatings. And the abuse didn't stop when Currington's mother left his stepdad - because the "alcoholic who had no heart at all" still picked on Billy when the family came to visit. Therapy made Currington realise his stepfather's actions had left him scarred for life - and helped him understand a number of flaws in his own character, including a terrible temper. He says, "My challenge in life is my anger." But coming face to face with his deep issues cost Currington a great deal - he lost his voice, cancelled a tour, checked into a trauma recovery programme and parted with his band. Even his girlfriend left him because she couldn't deal with what Currington was going through. "Since treatment, I have no attachments left, other than my record company. "After I'm done recording my third album, I leave for Hawaii to work with two therapists who specialise in childhood trauma. I'm on a mission to break the generational curse of abuse."

A single thought for this talented Young man. -You have a good personality, and talent, ok, kinda cute. I do hope that the bees have stopped buzzing in your head after that scare. Also I hope the therapy you are seeking is what you need to clear out the demons left by your stepfather. No one needs people like him. Take your time, you are young yet......many people are praying for you, including me. MollyBea
