CULT ACTS COVER CAREY, TWAIN + SPICE GIRLS
Songs by MARIAH CAREY, SHANIA TWAIN and THE SPICE GIRLS are being covered on a leftfield album of covers by a host of cult acts including BONNIE 'PRINCE' BILLY and DEVENDRA BANHART.
Guilty By Association sees versions of Carey's Can't Take That Away and The Spice Girls' Viva Forever recorded by Billy and Jim O'Rourke respectively.
Elsewhere on the disc, Mark Mulcahy covers Twain's From This Moment On; Mooney Suzuki cover Cher's Just Like Jesse James; Take That's Back For Good is reinterpreted by The Concretes; and Banhart contributes a version of Oasis smash Don't Look Back In Anger.
Guilty By Association is set for an August (07) release.
