CUDI LANDS HARTNETT AS VIDEO PRODUCER

Actor JOSH HARTNETT has turned music video producer for his rapper pal KID CUDI.
The hip-hop star reveals Hartnett was instrumental in turning his dreams for the promo for his upcoming single The Pursuit of Happiness into a reality, bringing his friend Brody Baker on board to direct the video.
Cudi tells MTV.com, "I was actually telling Josh that I wanted to shoot the video. We were hanging out one day, and (Hartnett) was like, 'Aw, I know this one guy, he's done great work. He's really dope (good) and refreshing.'
"I was familiar with his stuff. (Baker) did the music video for Animal Collective's My Girls and I was a fan of that video."
And the Day N' Nite hitmaker turned the shoot into one big party by inviting fellow rapper Drake and some old pals along for some fun.
Cudi adds, "I just saw the first rough cut the other day. Drake is in it. He has a cameo... We were just kicking it. When you see the video, it just makes me feel good, because I'm seeing all my friends and people that matter in my life. We were all celebrating. It's like a New Year's Eve-type thing. Everybody's just getting wasted."
