CRUISE STILL THRILLED ABOUT 20-YEAR-OLD NASCAR FILM

TOM CRUISE will always cherish his track days on the set of racing film DAYS OF THUNDER - because he was actually allowed to hit speeds of up to 200 miles per hour in NASCAR vehicles.Of all his films, the star admits he'll always have a soft spot for the 1990 movie in which he played Cole Trickle - especially the scenes he filmed at the Daytona International Speedway mecca in Florida.
He explains, "My personal Daytona was getting up close to 200 miles per hour (and) personally driving around the track one afternoon.
"Having that opportunity to drive those cars on the track and meet those drivers... I loved it."
