CROWE USES FREE MUSIC TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG VOTERS

SHERYL CROW is giving away her music for free to urge young people to vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential elections.
The Grammy-winner is determined to make sure that young Americans turn out to cast their vote in November (08).
So the star is giving everyone who logs onto Rockthevote.com or joins the site's mailing list the chance to download her politically charged track Gasoline for free.
And anyone who recruits three people to the site will receive Crow's entire album, Detours.
The website aims to register more than two million young people to vote by the time the elections come around - and Crow hopes the move will help get more young people into polling stations.
She says, "I hope people wake up and emotionally engage in issues."
And the star insists that more musicians should use their art to change the political landscape.
She adds, "These musicians speak to millions of people every day so for them to use their voices to inspire people is a key part of our program."
