CROWE 'TOO FAT' FOR MOVIE ROLE
RIDLEY SCOTT ordered RUSSELL CROWE to lose weight for their new movie collaboration - because the actor was too fat for his part. The 43-year-old plays C.I.A. boss Ed Hoffman alongside Leonardo Di Caprio in new terrorism drama Body Of Lies. Scott - who also directed Crowe in Gladiator - says, "I've shot with Russell for the past five weeks. That's why he's so sturdy-looking at the moment. "He's losing weight. He was 30 pounds (13.6 kilograms) overweight to do the part."

Regarding his most recent film with Russell Crowe,"Body of Lies", Ridley Scott
told ComingSoon.net:
"Russell Crowe is done. I've shot with Russell for the last five weeks. That's
why he's so sturdy looking at the moment. He's losing his weight. He was thirty
pounds overweight to do the part."
Only a true imbecile would interpret Sir Ridley's words to mean Russell was too
fat for the role.
Wait. This is ContactMusic. Never mind.
This is NOT TRUE! You misquoted Ridley. Check your facts!
