CROWDED HOUSE COMEBACK GETS A BOOST FROM MARR + DIXIE CHICKS
Former THE SMITHS star JOHNNY MARR and country trio the DIXIE CHICKS have given CROWDED HOUSE's comeback a boost by collaborating with the reformed rockers on their new album.
Marr, the current guitarist for cult US indie act Modest Mouse, contributes to two tracks on the album, Time On Earth - Crowded House's first release in 14 years - while the Dixie Chicks have offered the song, Silent House, for the project.
The new album will be released on 2 July (07) in UK with more dates pending for the rest of the world, according to Billboard.com.
Crowded House make their official live bow at the Coachella Festival in California this weekend (28Apr07), but will prepare for that show with a low-key warm-up concert in Tempe, Arizona tomorrow night (26Apr07).
