CROW NEEDED ALCOHOL TO PERFORM
Singer SHERYL CROW relied heavily on alcohol to get her through her early live performances - because she could only take to the stage when she was drunk.
The All I Wanna Do hitmaker admits she drank a lot of Jack Daniel's whiskey as a young star to help her handle the stresses of fame.
But Crow is relieved she eventually kicked the habit.
She says, "I did a lot of drinking early on because it helped me cope with what was happening. But I couldn't deal with it. I'm small and skinny and just a couple of shots would get me drunk.
"A couple more and I'd be all over the place. I had to knock it on the head. Now the greatest buzz is performing sober."
